Their theme revolves around the stories of Jagannath Prabhu and also local folk tales. Pattachitra paintings can be divided into three categories – paintings on cloth called ‘Patta Chitra’, paintings on walls called ‘Bhitti Chitra’ and engravings on palm leaf called “Tada Patra Chitra’.
This painting is on a palm leaf outlined using tracing techniques and the colours are filled by hand. The artists team is mentored by the renowned artist and national awardee Sri Banamali Mahapatra.
